Par Avion – Connecting artists through post and practice
We’re excited to be developing a new international collaboration, Par Avion, which will bring together artists from London, Stockholm, and Berlin.
The project takes inspiration from the Mail Art movement, where artists exchanged creative ideas through the post. Each participating artist will send a small “research envelope” — filled with images, texts, sounds, and other inspirations — to a collaborator in another city. In response, that artist will create a new artwork, sparking a chain of creative exchange across borders.
The process will culminate in an exhibition at Neurotitan Gallery, Berlin, where both the new works and the original envelopes will be shown side by side — revealing the conversations and research behind the art.
Workshops and group discussions will also take place during the show, inviting local artists to join in and explore collaboration as a force for social and artistic change.
Par Avion is a joint project between Critical Edge Collective (London) and Best Before Collective (Stockholm), with Berlin artists joining as new collaborators. The exhibition is planned for 2026, and we’ll share more updates as it develops!

At the heart of our approach is a dedication to process. We see research not as a preliminary phase, but as a generative force, a common ground, narrowing the distance between artist and viewer to make spaces where new relationships form, ideas emerge, and confidence grows. Trust is central to this work: with each other, with the other artists we collaborate and support, and with our audiences. Through transparent, inclusive practices—from the making of the work to how it’s shared— we strive to create a collective space that remains critical, democratic, playful and committed to growth.
